Abstract
The article analyzes the migration of Bessarabian Germans in various historical periods. Special attention is paid to the events of the mid-twentieth century, which radically influenced their destinies. The normative legal acts on the basis of which the process of their resettlement to Germany in 1940 was carried out are considered.
