Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of falsification of historical events, emphasizes the relevance of archival work to restore the historical truth. In this context on the basis of a wide array of sources from the State Archive of the Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol City Archive, museum institutions of the Russian Federation the role of Evdokia Vladimirovna Visikirskaya in the underground movement of Sevastopol in 1942—1944 is considered. The author shows that the activity of E.V. Visikirskaya in the Sevastopol antifascist underground is multifaceted: assistance to Soviet prisoners of war, propaganda and agitation, sabotage work, participation in acts of sabotage. Based on the analysis of archival documents, the reasons for the disclosure and liquidation of the Sevastopol underground in the spring of 1944 by Nazi special services, as well as the circumstances of E.V. Visikirskaya's rescue from arrest are revealed
