RUSSIAN WORLD OF MILAN: A NEW VISIT

Abstract

The article1 reveals the Russian world of Milan, the northern capital of Italy, the largest economic and cultural center of Europe, as a factor of influence of Russian people — cultural figures, historical personalities and those whose names are preserved in the memory of the Milanese, on the social, cultural and political life of the city. Turning to historical sites, the author analyzes the life and contribution of Russian Milanese to the development and prosperity of the city in different periods — from the liberation of Milan in 1799 to the Resistance movement during the Second World War, their participation in various spheres of activity.
